Radiology Tech - Mammography, travel assignment in Cumming, Georgia, United States. Start date 11/02/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,333–$2,400 per week with guaranteed hours of 40 per week. Responsibilities
- Perform breast imaging procedures including mammography, breast ultrasound, and bone density studies; assist with breast biopsy procedures as needed.
- Ensure high-quality images through proper patient positioning, compression, exposure factors, and strict adherence to radiation safety and ALARA principles.
- Document imaging orders, results, and patient data in the Cerner outpatient imaging system; coordinate with radiologists, technologists, and referring physicians.
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards; monitor equipment for quality control and report any issues promptly.
- Educate patients about procedures, answer questions, and provide comfort and support throughout imaging sessions.
- Participate in designated holiday coverage and adapt to scheduling needs within a travel assignment framework.
Requirements
- ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in breast imaging/mammography
- Proficiency with Breast Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Density, and breast biopsy procedures
- Experience with Cerner outpatient imaging systems
- Ability to work in a hospital imaging environment; flexible to travel assignment; schedule includes 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with holiday coverage as required
