Business Office Clerk The Daily Mining Gazette - Houghton, MI

The Daily Mining Gazette*is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Office Clerk*to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting our daily operations and providing exceptional service to our readers, advertisers, and community partners.

The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer and basic math skills are essential, along with a positive attitude and a commitment to accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities:-Prepare and process daily deposits and related accounting tasks
-Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
-Handle classified advertisements, legal notices, and obituaries
-Maintain accurate records and assist with general office duties
-Support internal departments as needed with billing or data entry tasks

Qualifications:-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Basic proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and office software
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Position Details:-Full- or part-time, Monday through Friday (schedule flexible based on experience)
