The ideal billing candidate is highly technology-oriented and comfortable working in a paperless environment. This individual enjoys learning new software, leveraging automation tools, and identifying opportunities to improve billing workflows through technology. Experience with professional services billing systems, advanced Excel functions, and modern collaboration platforms is strongly preferred.

 

Requirements:

• 3+ years of WIP billing experience at CPA or Law firm required
• Experience with practice management software -CCH required
• Strong understanding of billing procedures and client billing guidelines
• Advanced attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with the complete billing cycle from pre-bill creation, review, and final invoice generation
• Collaborate directly with Operations Manager, Audit, CAAS, Tax, and Admin teams to ensure timely and accurate billing
• Review, edit, and process client invoices in accordance with client guidelines
• Handle electronic billing submissions through various e-billing platforms
• Monitor accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, and respond to client inquiries
• Monitor work-in-process (WIP), accounts receivable, write-ups, write-downs, and billing realization metrics.
• Maintain billing records while ensuring compliance with firm policies and client requirements
• Generate billing reports and assist with month-end closing processes
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed
• Assist with collections efforts and account follow-up as needed.
• Other general administrative duties as needed (answering phones, doors)
