Baker — Delite Bake Shop

Opportunity Overview:

Delite Bake Shop seeks a skilled, dependable full-time Baker for its busy Yonkers, NY bakery. This role is ideal for an experienced pastry baker or bakery production professional who takes pride in producing high-quality fresh baked goods.

What You Will Do:

• Prepare, bake, finish, and present pastries, Danish, cakes, and other bakery items with consistent quality and appearance.
• Support high-volume production by following recipes, portion standards, production procedures, and efficient timing.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workspace while safely using bakery equipment, knives, and kitchen tools.

What You Bring:

• At least two years of professional baking experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, bake shop, or high-volume food production setting.
• Experience producing pastries, Danish, cakes, and related baked goods with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, food safety, and commercial kitchen quality-control practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistent portions and presentation.
• Bilingual Spanish and English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServSafe certification or demonstrated knowledge of commercial food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience with menu planning, ordering, merchandising, catering, fryer work, grilling, or broader food and beverage operations.
• Strong professional references and reliable availability for day or overnight shifts.

Schedule, Pay, and Benefits:

• Full-time, in-person position in Yonkers; approximately 40 to 50 hours per week.
• Starting pay: $20.00 per hour (varies depending on experience).
• Day and overnight shift availability preferred.
